The House of Bjelbo (House of Folkung)

Upon the marriage of Folke 'the Fat', Jarl in Sweden to Ingegerd of Denmark, the Bjelbo make the connection to Charlemagne - The Father of Europe, all the reigning royal houses of Europe can trace their descent from him.

Ingegerd's descent from Charlemagne is thru Gisla de France a daughter of Louis the Pious from his second marriage to Judith which in turn a daughter of Welf the progenitor of the Elder House of Welf.
