Before we crown the 2018 winners, let's all bow down to the 2017 Queens.
In 2017 Asia rules in Big 5 Pageants.

Here are the big 5 queens of 2017.

Out of 5, 4 are from the Asian Continent.

They are..

ME = Philippines

MW = India

MI = Indonesia

MS = South Korea (i mean..Korea)

For the Male pageants..

4 of the 6 Major titles are held by an Asian King (how good is that!)

Manhunt = Vietnam

Mr. International = South Korea (again..it's Korea for unification)

Mr. World = India

Man of the World = Vietnam (again!)

Philippines Performance in the Big 4 Pageants

Eto uriratin muna natin ang kasalukuyang kalagayan ng Pilipinas sa larangan ng pagandahan kuno. Base lang ito sa Big 4 na pinauso ng Misso at nalathala naman sa Wikipedia.

• we did not placed only in years 2007, 2010 & 2016
• ME is owned by a Philippine based organization.
• in MI, Cristina Alberto attended the 1977 edition but withdrew the pageant.
• in MU, from 1958 to 1961 Philippines missed the pageant; it's either no representative were chosen or the candidate withdrew.
• in MW, we only started sending delegates in 1966 and in 1976 & 1977 the candidates withdrew from the pageant.

Miss International 2017 is.....

Miss Indonesia - Kevin Lilliana!

A well deserved win and though our own representative didn't make the cut this year, still we are proud of MDS performance and besides last year's title holder is Miss Kylie Verzosa my bet for Bb. Pilipinas MU. 

It's Indonesia's first crown from the Big 5 pageant, we are happy for our fellow ASEAN country to finally clinch a major title. They are doing very good the past pageant seasons.

Just a few days ago Philippines' own representative to Miss Earth (another one of the Big 5) had won the coveted title, a fourth for our country. 

This year ASIA is slaying the pageant stage.
